Do you have a lucky thing? Maybe a Bills fan in your life wears the same jersey every week because it’s “lucky.” How’s that working for you? I ask because I don’t see any trophies in Orchard Park yet. It’s interesting to feel that we directly affect things like that. We can do the same thing in our faith life. We assume we can make things happen if we do things a certain way. God will do what we want if we pray just right or don’t mess up. It’s probably not a surprise that it doesn’t work like that. Today, we will hear Jesus teaching how the Kingdom of God works and what it’s like. The lessons tell us something important about how to live the faithful life he hopes for us.
