First UMC Community Dinner

Thursday Night Dinners are going strong! Over the last several months, the Niagara Falls Thursday Community Dinners have seen a marked increase in the number of dinners handed out each week. We have gone from around 80-90 dinners to about 130-140 on average! God has been using this ministry to help the hurting, the unemployed, the homeless, and the hungry, for whatever reason, to get a good meal. We also have been handing out coats and other outerwear to keep them warm during these recent cold months. Pastors and laypeople are always on hand to lend an ear, pray with, and offer Communion to the folks as they receive their meals. What a blessing!

It takes a lot of resources to produce these dinners, and that's where we need you! If anyone would like to donate items, we always need ground beef, boneless chicken (breast or thighs), cake mixes, brownie mixes, and cooking spray. We also accept financial contributions to cover those "last minute" or "final" detail items to complete the meals.

Fellow servants are also encouraged to come out and join in the preparation and serving of the dinners - we're always looking for new folks to be a part of the fun! Let me know if interested!

God is definitely on the move in this community, meeting the needs of our neighbors! If anyone has any other questions about the dinners, please let me know.
