Fish Fry Dinners

We were thrilled with this year’s Lenten fish fry outcome, serving 4,625 total meals for an average of 661 meals each week! This is only 2% below last year’s outstanding results when we served an average of 675 meals each week.

Here are the total dinners served by week: #1-662; #2-695; #3-613; #4-590; #5-645; #6-694 #7-726. Amazing!!! Our fish fry dinners are our major fundraiser each year, and they also do a great job of showing our community how the loving Spirit of God is alive in our church. All income from these dinners will be applied to the General Operations account, to help pay the bills.

None of this would be possible without all the support from our fantastic volunteers each week in all of these areas: shopper; Thursday night table/chair setup; make dressings for coleslaw/potato salad; cook potatoes; roll out kitchen griddle/roll in & hook up fryers; make pies; prepare salads; set tables; cocktail sauce/tartar sauce/ketchup duty; drinks/waitress set up; cashier/order takers; hostesses/hosts; kitchen cooks; kitchen serving line; washing dishes; order/meal runners; phone orders; dining hall servers (meals, rolls, drinks); pie room (cutting pies and slaw/applesauce duty); selling pies; cleanup (dining hall, dish room, kitchen); meal & money counters; and laundry! Whew! Hope no one was forgotten! Many, many thanks to all who helped out!
