Pastor Tom Kraft lives in Pendleton with his wife, Pastor Jackie Ann Rose Kraft, who is a chaplain in the Air National Guard in Niagara Falls. They have one child, Autumn, who lives in Cheektowaga with her son Landis.
Pastor Tom Kraft came to the Pendleton Church in 1990 when the congregation was a small, semi-rural congregation. Over the years the congregation has grown and so has the pastor. “In the early years of my ministry I was often anxious for things to happen on my time frame. I have learned to wait with a little more patience for God’s timing.”
“My ministry is based on the parable of the Prodigal Son. I hope to help bring God to those who have wandered away from Him, and to those who have been in the church, but not alive to God’s Holy Spirit. There are far too many people for whom the church has failed. They need a place to start again. I believe the Pendleton Church is a place for the spiritually broken to find God again.”
In January 2009 Pastor Tom added the Niagara Falls First United Methodist Church as part of his responsibilities, and we became a wider parish to reach the world for Christ.
Pastor Tom’s primary responsibilities are to preach, lead worship, and provide vision for the church through working with both volunteer and staff church leadership. However, he also visits in homes and hospitals, participates in many of the programs of the church, teaches, and officiates at weddings and funerals.
