Plan Your Visit

And Reserve Your Seat

Thanks for joining us here at Pendleton Center United Methodist Church! To help maintain a safe environment for everyone, we ask you to reserve a seat for worship at this time. Reservations will open Monday each week and will close when all spots are full.

During these times, worship at church is going to be a little different, and we would like to explain it to you here.

If you’re new to Pendleton Center Church, click here for more info about the church.

Will you continue online worship?

Yes! Worship will continue to be live streamed at 9:00 and 11:15 AM each Sunday for those who feel more comfortable at home at this time.

Services are available on our website, Facebook, YouTube, and DVD. Learn more here.

What time does service begin?

We will be holding two services: Saturday at 5:00 PM and Sunday at 9:00 AM. Doors will open 30 minutes before service starts, and our goal is to have service last about 45 minutes. As check-in will take a minute, please arrive before your service start time to ensure you don't miss any part of worship!

Where do I go when I arrive?

You can enter the building through the Fellowship Hall entrance only (far left entrance). Volunteers will greet you, take your temperature, and ask you about experiencing COVID symptoms. A pre-packaged communion set will be given to you and  then an usher will help you find a seat.

After service, exiting will be done through the Sanctuary doors, through the guidance of ushers.

Where do my children go?

Children of all ages are always welcome in our worship services! At this time, we ask children in the sanctuary stay with their parent/guardian at all times, seated, with masks on. (Ages 0-2 do not require masks.)

Children’s bulletins will be provided in service, just ask an usher for one. You can also download them on our watch page for you to print and bring with you if you would like.

Jr. Church for 3 years - 3rd grade is also offered - read more below.

What about Jr. Church?

Jr. Church is available on Sundays only for children ages 3 - 3rd grade.

Our number one goal is to keep your children safe. Please keep in mind though that “kids will be kids.” We will be adhering to all guidelines currently in place with our adult gatherings for your child's safety and the safety of our staff and volunteers, but we cannot guarantee that social distancing will be followed throughout the entire time a child is in Jr. Church.

Children will be staying in Jr. Church throughout the entire service and will not be returning for communion like in the past. Upon arrival and receiving your health check, walk up the Fellowship Hall ramp to the sanctuary. Someone will be outside the sanctuary to take your child downstairs to the Ark. You can pick your child up at the outside Ark doors after the service.

What will service be like?

When you join us for a worship service, we want you to hear the truth about who God is and what He wants for your life. We will continue to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere while expecting an exciting encounter with God! Service will include music, scripture reading, prayer, a message, and communion.

Pre-packaged, disposable communion sets will be given to you as you enter. During the service, we will celebrate communion and commune together.

Donations boxes will be available as you enter and exit for you to place your offering.

What precautions are you taking to help keep everyone safe?

  • Masks are required at all times. Disposable masks will be available.
  • As a best practice, we recommend everyone to stay 6 feet apart from those not in their household. Please be mindful of others around you.
  • Our sanctuary seating has been properly distanced.
  • We will not use paper bulletins.
  • Congregational singing, with face masks, is allowed - we ask that you sing lightly when singing.
  • Speakers and vocalists will be positioned 20 feet from the congregation.
  • Worship will last about 45 minutes. It is best that we don’t stay inside with a group of people for a longer period of time.
  • We discourage restroom use, but if you need the restroom, please use the one near the nursery.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building, and you are encouraged to use it when you enter and exit the building.
  • We have stepped up our cleaning and sanitizing procedures, including the fogging of areas used.
  • There is no access to the main restrooms, gym, kitchen, Fellowship Hall, preschool wing, or Ark during worship.
  • Please help keep the sanctuary clean and take any garbage with you. Trash cans will be available at the exits.
