Thursday Night Dinners Update
Thursdays, 5:00-6:00 PM, First UMC
None of us like to even think about the end of summer, but we need to prepare ourselves for that reality! We have always celebrated Labor Day with a hot dog dinner for the many folks joining us for the Thursday night dinner. We will be hosting this special dinner on Thursday, August 29, which seems like a long way off as I write this article, but it is just around the corner.
We’re in need of packages of Sahlen’s hot dogs and cans of baked beans for our celebration! If you’re interested in donating these items, we would greatly appreciate it! These can be left in the collection area in the Fellowship Hall anytime in August!
We can also accept financial contributions to put towards the dinner if that’s better for you! Thanks so very much for all the support we have received from everyone to make this meal and all our Thursday dinners possible!
Thanks again to everyone who has supported our dinner with produce from your gardens and orchards! We are still very excited about receiving more as the growing season continues! If you have tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, beans, or anything else, we would love to incorporate these into our menu! Just contact DJ Mahar to let me know what you might be able to bring!
