As you may know, one of PCUMC's outreach projects is the Thursday Night Dinner at our sister church, First UMC, in Niagara Falls. The mission of this outreach project is to reach out to the folks in that area to create a community, offering fellowship, prayers, and the hope of Christ. Oh, and we do this while offering to meet their physical needs with a great meal and an opportunity to browse our clothes closet. In the last couple of years, this mission has exploded, going from reaching 50-70 folks, to now reaching over 200 every week! God is good!
We need your help to continue reaching out to this community. If you're able to purchase supplies, we, and the folks we serve, would very much appreciate your help. We always need these items: brownie mix, butter, vegetable oil, ground beef, boneless chicken breast, potatoes, minute rice, elbow pasta, and yellow and chocolate cake mixes. If you can help keep us in your thoughts while doing your shopping and can grab a few of these items for church, we would love to accept them. If you're able to contribute financially, so many things are needed to produce this take-out meal, like containers, bags, ziplock bags, and more, and we can always use that financial support when we buy in bulk.
We would like to also extend an invitation to all those who may want to help cook and/or serve on Thursday afternoons and evenings! Please prayerfully consider these possibilities of involvement and contact DJ Mahar with any questions or for more information!
