Pendleton Center United Methodist Church’s Response to COVID-19

Pendleton Center United Methodist Church has been open for Worship since August 30, without incident. We use an online reservation process and are seating at 33% capacity. We are being patient, and are not singing at this time. Disposable Holy Communion Elements are handed out when you enter the facility, and shared in our seats as we briefly remove our masks.

Our due diligence includes:

  • Prior to entering the facility, a health check, including temperature check, is required by everyone
  • We wear masks 100% of the time (available onsite) and practice physical (rather than ‘social’) distancing
  • We have touchless hand sanitizers available throughout
  • We have significantly stepped up our cleaning efforts
    • Our restroom facilities and often-touched surfaces are regularly cleaned and sanitized
    • We purchased two foggers and are using them where people gather, and on our Preschool and Mom’s Morning Out toys, tables, chairs, etc., after and between classes
  • Our worship seating keeps each family unit six feet from the next
  • We are doing contact tracing each day and for worship service
