Our Vision for Youth Ministry:
“Building Connections to God, the Church, and Each Other”
"Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, and with all your Soul, and with all your Mind, and with all your Strength" - Mark 12:30
Youth Ministry is a journey, to connect to God, the Church, and one another. We actively pursue our faith by loving God with our:
- HEART (being involved in Christian friendship groups)
- SOUL (attending worship, praying)
- MIND (attending Bible Study or home devotion)
- STRENGTH (participating in church ministries, using the gifts and talents God gave you for His kingdom).
Growing in faith and commitment to God is the most important thing you will ever do. Jump in, get involved, and if you already are, spread the word and bring others along!

Youth Retreat Scholarships Needed
The Youth Retreat a wonderful experience where youth connect to God and one another. We want to make sure that all youth have an opportunity to attend, and are asking our church family to prayerfully consider giving a scholarship to cover a youth that need help covering the cost. The retreat costs $85, but any amount you are able to give will be gratefully accepted and appreciated. Thank you for your generosity!
Youth Group meets Wednesdays at 6:30, starting in the gym to hang out together playing dodge ball, pool, four square, and other games. Later we have a Bible Study and then other activities. At 8:00 we gather in our groups again, to discuss, share, and pray. At 8:15 we end the night with a mini worship experience in the sanctuary, with everyone else. Come join us!
A Confirmation Class is offered every year for youth grades six through twelve. Our hope is that in the end, the youth will have developed a solid Christian understanding, made close relationships with other Christian youth, explored different ministries, determined where their gifts lie, and feel confident and passionate about continuing in ministry.
Confirmation Class meets on Sundays at 10:15am and begins in September. You may signup at anytime.
For more information contact Sherry Mahar at email@example.com or at 625-8306.
Bible Studies for youth are offered at 10:15am on Sunday mornings in the café by the gym or in the couch room. Join in for some great Bible exploration and discussions as we work through our faith together! These classes meet during the school year.
30 Hour Famine
Our next 30 Hour Famine will take in May 2018.
How the Famine works:
- Students LEARN the truth about global hunger and discover what God wants us all to do about it.
- We RAISE FUNDS to fight hunger.
- We grow closer to God and each other as we FAST FOR 30 HOURS.
- LIVES ARE CHANGED because of the money we've raised!
Youth receive sponsors and participate in 30 hours of fasting while learning about world hunger. Funds collected go to World Vision to feed starving children around the world. Contact Sherry Mahar at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Learn more about the 30 Hour Famine at 30hourfamine.org.
Youth Mission Trip
Each year the youth take a mission trip in July to a different location. More information on our 2018 Youth Mission Trip will be available soon.
