Our Vision for Youth Ministry:
“Building Connections to God, the Church, and Each Other”
"Love the Lord your God with all your Heart, and with all your Soul, and with all your Mind, and with all your Strength" - Mark 12:30
Youth Ministry is a journey, to connect to God, the Church, and one another. We actively pursue our faith by loving God with our:
- HEART (being involved in Christian friendship groups)
- SOUL (attending worship, praying)
- MIND (attending Bible Study or home devotion)
- STRENGTH (participating in church ministries, using the gifts and talents God gave you for His kingdom).
Growing in faith and commitment to God is the most important thing you will ever do. Jump in, get involved, and if you already are, spread the word and bring others along!
30 Hour Famine
Our 30 Hour Famine has been rescheduled and will be held Sunday, July 8, 6pm - Monday, July 9, 6pm.
God’s word is clear that he cares for those in need and he calls us to do the same. The world easily ignores the homeless and the hungry, and it’s the children and youth that suffer the most. For 30 hours, we choose to stand beside them with God’s love. The 30 Hour Famine is for youth in 7th-12th grade. This is a fun and interactive sleepover that helps support starving children all around the world. We will be ending our famine with a worship service and dinner. If you haven’t received your fundraising envelope and information, and would like one, contact Miss Adrienne at firstname.lastname@example.org or 716-625-8306.
How the Famine works:
- Students LEARN the truth about global hunger and discover what God wants us all to do about it.
- We RAISE FUNDS to fight hunger.
- We grow closer to God and each other as we FAST FOR 30 HOURS.
- LIVES ARE CHANGED because of the money we've raised!
Youth receive sponsors and participate in 30 hours of fasting while learning about world hunger. Funds collected go to World Vision to feed starving children around the world.

At 8:00 we gather in our groups again, to discuss, share, and pray. At 8:15 we end the night with a mini worship experience in the sanctuary, with everyone else. Come join us!
Youth Group does not meet during the summer. We will resume Wednesday, September 12.
A Confirmation Class is offered every year for youth grades six through twelve. Our hope is that in the end, the youth will have developed a solid Christian understanding, made close relationships with other Christian youth, explored different ministries, determined where their gifts lie, and feel confident and passionate about continuing in ministry.
Confirmation Class meets on Sundays at 10:15am and begins in September. You may signup at anytime.
For more information contact Sherry Mahar at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 625-8306.
Bible Studies for youth are offered at 10:15am on Sunday mornings in the couch room. Join in for some great Bible exploration and discussions as we work through our faith together! These classes meet during the school year.
The Youth Retreat a wonderful experience where youth connect to God and one another. Our next Youth Retreat will be in January 2019. Check back for more information as we get closer to the date.
